Increasing regulations and demands are calling for buildings to not only have the right level of thermal and sound insulation, but also the correct fire protection. For this reason, LAMILUX have developed a fire-rated range of rooflights. The LAMILUX Fire Rated Glass Skylight is a supply only product, made to measure within demensional parameters detailed below. It is designed to be delivered to site as a pre-assembled skylight on a steel upstand specifically for your bespoke applications.

REI certified rooflights are tested to EN 13501-2 and consider not only the fire resistance, but also the load-bearing capacity (R), room enclosing function (E) and insulation (I). With trademark features including an attractive design, coupled with the highest level of airtightness and excellent heat-insulation values, the LAMILUX Fire Rated Glass Skylight boasts exceptional watertight properties, effective soundproofing and fire resistance.

Fire resistance means that in the event of a fire in the building, the component creates a physical barrier that prevents both fire and smoke from escaping for a period of time. The REI 30 is designed to withstand fire and heat for at least 30 minutes, and the REI 60, for 60 minutes whilst the new REI 90 offers protection for a full 90 minutes. The LAMILUX Glass Roof Fire Rated range of rooflights are life saving solutions that prevent flames from spreading and ensure protection against fire and heat, whilst keeping escape routes clear.

Fire Rated Glass Skylight

For buildings where smaller modular fire rated rooflights are required, we recommend the new Fire Rated Glass Skylight. This supply only product is made to measure within the above parameters. Certified according to EN 13501-2, this product can be installed on roofs with an inclination of up to 15° and is delivered to site pre-assembled on a steel upstand for a simple installation.

REI 30 and REI 60

The Fire Rated Glass Skylight range is available, in addition to the Fire Rated Glass Roof version, certified to REI 30 and REI 60

REI 90

Furthermore, LAMILUX have succeeded in extending this protection even further for paramount fire resistance, with the new Fire Rated Glass Skylight REI 90. Offering maximum protection from this range and withstanding fire and heat for an impressive 90 minutes, this option has won the German Design Award 2023 in the category "Excellent Product Design - Building and Elements"

Fire Rated Glass Roof REI 30 / REI 60

For building with larger daylighting requirements, LAMILUX also offers the Fire Rated Glass Roof REI 30 or REI 60 variant. Available in longer dimensions, the Glass Roof version features a stable aluminium structure and can be professionally installed either as a stand alone option or as a wall abutted rooflight.

Suitable for pitches ranging from 2° - 80°, it offers protection for 30 or 60 minutes and can be ordered in dimensions of 4m wide up to a span of your chosen length*
