The Flat Roof Access Hatch Comfort Square makes it possible, for the first time, to also use spiral and platform staircases underneath. The 'Square' only takes 45 seconds for the concealed hydraulic drives to silently open the 4m² glass element of the skylight by 70 degrees. The variant does not require any additional space on the roof terrace than its own size in closed form, even when open, thanks to its swing mechanism. Featuring unrestricted use as a natural ventilation device and convenient access to the roof terrace, the indoor climate also benefits from the high energy efficiency, thanks to the thermally broken frame and excellent air tightness values.

Exclusive ambience
The space-saving 230v hydraulically opening Square variant of the Comfort range swiftly opens its two meter by two meter opening to 70 degrees in just 45 seconds. The Square features unrestricted use as a natural ventilation device whilst supporting convenient access to the roof terrace. The 5° inclined geometry encourages a self cleaning effect, ensuring natural water and dirt drainage from both glass panes and the indoor climate also benefits from the high energy efficiency of the Square thanks to triple glazing as standard and the thermally broken frame alongside excellent air tightness values
Safety features
Safety is standard in the Flat Roof Access Hatch Comfort product family with fall-resistant, toughened outer and laminated inner glazing which can be walked on to a limited extent for cleaning purposes. As an additional safety feature, a light barrier is installed as standard which prevents the closing of the access hatch as soon as it detects something in the entrance area. The access hatch is delivered with an emergency button which also enables emergency access and can be opened manually in the case of power failure

Energy efficiency
The Comfort Square Access Hatch is the aluminium framed 4m² roof access hatch with maximum energy efficiency and thermal insulation. With high levels of wind and rain resistance, alongside enhanced isothermal characteristics in the overall construction – the unrivalled performance of this range results in no condensation alongside excellent air tightness values. The thermally broken “isothermally balanced” aluminium frames feature optimally aligned 10° isotherm line. This means that the thermally broken 10° isothermal line remains within the structure for consistent heat insulation without any weak spots, reducing condensation, mould and bacteria. The Comfort Square Access Hatch also benefits from precision profiles incorporating Thermo Active Design which produces the smooth isothermal lines. TIP Total Insulated Product is certified in accordance with EN ISO 14021.
